Ep 1-5 Introduction

Ep 1
Starts off with a history of the nine-tail fox demon  - 12 years ago, it suddenly appeared, destroying the village, until the Fourth Hokage, leader of Hidden Leaf Village, sacrificed his life and sealed the demon into an infant boy, Naruto.  In the present day, Naruto is a prankster and has painted graffiti over the monuments of the Hokages. He's reprimanded and taken back to class by his teacher, Iruka-sensei.  Later, Naruto flunks his graduation exam but is told by another teacher that if he can learn a technique from the forbidden scroll, he will be allowed to pass. Problem is, Mizuki-sensei wants the scroll for himself!

Ep 2
Naruto is arguing with the Third Hokage about his inappropriate ninja registration picture, when a young boy comes in and challenges the Hokage.  It's his grandson Konohamaru, who then takes a liking to Naruto and wants him to be his tutor instead of Ebisu (an elite tutor).  Naruto teaches him his sexy no jutsu (temptation technique). Ebisu disapproves and wants to teach Naruto a lesson...

Ep 3
Starts off with Naruto getting ready for his first ninja meeting. We also meet a pink haired girl, Sakura, also getting ready. On her way she sees her rival, Ino, and they compete to see who gets there first. At the meeting, the girls all drool over Sasuke the top graduate, a brooding loner. Iruka announces the team assignments and Naruto is with Sakura (his crush) and Sasuke (his rival)! Naruto hatches a plan to find out how Sakura feels about him, while Sakura wants to tell Sasuke how she feels about him.

Ep 4
The team of Naruto, Sasuke and Sakura wait and wait for their jounin-sensei. When he finally shows up, he falls prey to Naruto's practical joke. He asks the team to talk about themselves, but all he tells them is his name, Hatake Kakashi. The next day the three genin have to pass a test - they must grab a bell from Kakashi but there are only 2 bells,so someone has to return to the academy!

Ep 5
After avoiding Sasuke's attack, Kakashi has Sakura caught in an illusion, she sees Sasuke on the ground impaled with lots of kunai! Sasuke shows off his abilities, but Kakashi uses his superior ninjutsu and Sasuke fails to get a bell. Naruto tries to eat lunch by himself, but Kakashi catches him and ties him to a post. Kakashi says there's no need for them to go back to the ninja academy. Naruto and Sakura get excited until Kakashi says all 3 of them should quit as ninjas!
