Ep 140: Two Beats, Kabuto's Trap

Summary:

Orochimaru orders Kabuto to kill her and turns to leave. Sakura breaks out of her paralysis and asks Orochimaru about Sasuke. Orochimaru leaves and Kabuto informs her that Orochimaru couldn't wait and had to transfer to another body. He says Orochimaru gave Sasuke the cursed seal but only a few survive that and Sasuke is dead. Kabuto throws a kunai at Sakura who is so devastated by the news she doesn't move at all. Luckily Naruto arrives and throws a kunai to deflect Kabuto's. Kabuto throws more kunais but Naruto grabs Sakura out of the way. He tells her to hide. Then he uses kage bunshin to distract Kabuto. After Kabuto uses up his kunais, Naruto clones beat him up. Kabuto leaps away and performs the seals for Katon Kasumi Enbu no jutsu (fire element: mist dance technique) and a large spread of fire takes out the clones. But behind Kabuto the real Naruto and a clone start rasengan. Kabuto is knocked back, crashing through several pillars and against a brick wall. Naruto walks toward him demanding he tell them the truth but suddenly stops. Chakra threads are wrapped around him. Kabuto says he wrapped them around Naruto when he used his rasengan. The chakra threads are connected to Kabuto's heart and are also connected to Naruto's internal organs and his heart. Naruto can't break free and Kabuto claims the chakra thread can't be cut by anything. Their hearts are now in sync. If Kabuto dies so will Naruto. He reaches in and pulls out his own heart!

Kabuto squeezes his heart causing Naruto to wince in pain. Sakura takes out her kunai and tries to cut the chakra threads but it doesn't work so she tries to pull the threads apart. Kabuto claims even Tsunade's strength can't break the chakra threads. Sasame arrives and gives Sakura a charm to wrap around her kunai. The kunai glows yellow and is able to cut the chakra threads. Chakra sparks all around and both Naruto and Kabuto are thrown back. Sakura thinks Naruto is dead and starts to cry. He turns red and Sakura realizes he's still alive. Gamakichi arrives and tells how Sasame savedNaruto and him when they were about to drown.

Sakura asks why was the kunai with the charm able to cut the threads. Sasame explains that the chakra thread is the Fuuma clan's most secret technique. Kabuto's face cracks and Naruto pulls off his mask. It's Kagerou! They ask about Arashi and Kagerou indicates the door then dies.

Naruto, Sakura and Sasame stand by the door but it opens and Orochimaru comes out. He takes off his mask and it's Arashi! Sasame runs up to him but he stops her and says he's no longer Arashi. His body bulges, ripping off his shirt and the faces of Kamikiri and Jigumo appear from his body. He says Fuuma's jounin techniques and bodies have been collected into one and he's been reborn into a strong ninja.

Notes:

Arashi, Kagerou and friends are Fuuma jounins.

Katon Kasumi Enbu no jutsu = fire element: mist dance technique

The black heart Kagerou/Kabuto pulls out has no blood.

Thoughts:

Poor Sakura can't do anything even in filler eps.

Can Neji cut the chakra threads?
