Ep 7: Art is a Blast! Naruto Shippuden Special (Part 2)

The Sand-nin continue to fire arrows but stop when they realize they can hurt Gaara. Kankurou goes in pursuit of Gaara.

Sasori complains about Deidara being late. He has already completed all his preparations. Sasori says he's never coming back to Hidden Sand Village again. Kankurou realizes something has happened with the guards and finds them all dead/unconscious. Kankurou thinks there might be a traitor. One of his men finds someone alive but he's been tagged with explosive notes. The trap goes off and the cliffs around them explode.

Naruto arrives home to dust and cobwebs. He picks up a picture of his old team and thinks he's come home to bring Sasuke back.

Sand-nin and Baki find a mountain of rocks. Kankurou appears on top of the rocks with only 2 of his men that he was able to save. Kankurou leaves them with Baki and continues to follow. But Deidara and Sasori have left several false trails. Kankurou is able to detect Gaara's sand and the true trail.

Baki orders a message be sent to Konoha and more men to follow Kankurou. A messenger bird is prepared to deliver the message to Konoha. He wears a little backpack.

Kankurou arrives at more false tracks but is able to pick up the real one and continue.
Kakashi finishes his book twice! He’s about to go to sleep but it's almost morning and he still hasn't made up the new team lists.

Temari gets up is about to leave but finds Shikamaru waiting for her since he's supposed to be her guide. He walks her to the main gate. She tells him to hurry up and become a jounin.
Deidara and Sasori stop as Sasori senses someone following them. Sasori tells Deidara to go on ahead while he deals wth Kankurou.

Kankuroi summons three puppets.

Kakashi shows up late again this time with a real excuse - he was stuck writing up some documents for the new teams. Naruto complains again but Sakura says Kakashi's always been like that. Kakashi thinks he's lost face. Then he sees the Sand's messenger bird above.
Kankurou tries to stop Deidara from leaving with Garaa and sends Karasu after him but with a flick of his tail, Sasori grabs Karasu.

Takamaru = name of the messenger bird
Karasu = crow (summons character is bird)
Kuroari = black ant
Sanshouo = salamander (summon characters have the symbol for mountain)

Shikamaru has been up really really early if he’s been waiting for Temari.
