Ep 51: Sasuke's Anticipated Appearance!

Yamato finds a bingo book assassination list in Sai's pack. Bingo book has Sasuke's picture in it. Sai's mission was not to act as liaison but to kill Sasuke.

Ink snakes slither into Sasuke's room.

Naruto believes Sai really smiled and said he would help. Sakura thinks it was a trick. Yamation shows them a picture of a jounin from Hidden Mist in the bingo book who had anti-Konoha feelings. Sai's job is to elimate threats to Konoha which includes Sasuke who will be Oro's new body. The team runs to find him.

Snakes slither into Sasuke's bed. Sasuke wakes. Sai tells him Danzou ordered his death but he decided to take him back to Konoha because of Naruto to protect the bond of friendship.

Sasuke hits Sai with a genjutsu. Sai quickly counters and snakes wrap around Sasuke.

An explosion, the team feels Sai's chakra. Kabuto notes Sasuke's grouchy when he wakes up.

When the dust clears, Sai is on ground, thinking it takes a lot of brute force to break his technique. The team arrives and sees Sai at the end of the tunnel.

Sakura grabs Sai by the neck then suddenly hears Sasuke's voice. She looks up to see his backlit form. Naruto runs forward, trips, gets up, and keeps running toward the light at the end of the tunnel. He looks up and sees Sasuke. Sasuke asks about Kakashi. Yamato joins them and tells Sasuke they're there to take him back. Sai draws his sword. Sasuke says another loser joins the ranks. Sai explains to Sakura he is making his own decision because Naruto helped him remember. But Sasuke does remember his bonds and that's why he severed them. (Flashback to his fght with Itachi.) Sasuke says "I now have a different bond. A bond of hatred with my brother."

Ninja Academy Special Lecture on bonds: Naruto lived in solitude and his first important bond was with his new team. He wanted to be acknowdeledge by others in the village through his hard work. The ties that bind people together only get stronger as time passes. Once such a link as formed, it becomes impossible to forget about the other person - words by Iruka.
