Ep 27: The Dream that Couldn't Come True
Sasori presses the sword further into Sakura who tries to stop the bleeding and heal the wound while the sword is still stuck in her. Sakura tells Chiyo to take the antidote. Sakura starts to feel the effects of the poison as her body goes numb. She can't control her chakra. Chiyo takes the last antidote and injects it into Sakura instead. Sakura grabs the sword and tries to pull it away from Sasori who realizes there’s no point in over powering her so he releases the sword and the lower part of his arm. He takes out a dagger from his elbow. He's about to kill Sakura but Chiyo manipulates the mother and father puppets to stab him in the heart area. The container is where the remaining organic part is that houses his chakra. Sakura collapses to the ground. Chiyo carefully removes the sword and closes the wound with her chakra. Sasori says he stabbed Sakura in a vital point and even without the poison she'll die soon from lost of blood and it's impossible to heal her. But Chiyo says she's using not a healing technique but using her life energy for a reincarnation technique which she originally developed to save Sasori. With this technique, one could even bring a puppet to life at the cost of one's own life, buy she says “I guess that dream can no longer come true.” Flashback to Sasori, about 6-8, saying goodbye to his parents, then Chiyo cursing Konoha’s White Fang when she finds out the news of her son’s death. Sasori wakes up at night and asks Chiyo if his parents are back but she says they just got another mission so they won't be back for a while. Sasori looks out the window and sees a boy with his parents. Then he works at the bench to put together his own puppets. Present: Sasori calls Chiyo an idiot for sacrificing her life for Sakura who gets up and punches Sasori in the face, cracking the cheek, but Sasori says he feels no pain. His heart is like his body and even if his grandmother died he'd feel nothing. Sakura lectures him about family and life. Chiyo explains Sasori is like that because of the twisted misguided teachings of the sand village. Sasori gives them a reward for beating him. In ten days he tells them to go to the Bridge of Heaven and Earth in the Hidden Village of Grass at noon. He has a spy working with Orochimaru and was supposed to rendezvous with him there. Sasori falls silent toward the end, then he and the puppets fall down together. Chiyo notes that Sasori saw through her last attack but for some reason didn't try to dodge and left himself open for attack. Meanwhile Kakashi is now ready and reveals his new sharingan! End: Rivals for Love narrated by Lee and Naruto as they praise Sakura. Naruto says she would never date Lee, but Lee points out she said the same about Naruto when he pretended to be Sasuke. Naruto says since she's on his team he has a better chance. Lee points out Naruto's first kiss was with Saskue! Review: So sad! Sasori wasn't that bad at all. Notes: Bridge of Heaven and Earth is in Hidden Village of Grass Thoughts:
