Ep 22: Naruto Shippuuden Special: Summer Battle!! Part 1
Naruto chases Deidara whose clay is ready; he makes it into little bird bombs. Naruto barely avoids being hit. Kakashi takes one out with his shuriken. Another attacks Kakashi. Deidara only has a little clay left. Kakashi thinks they're too far away from Sakura and out of radio contact with Gai's team which continues to battle their doubles to no avail. Sakura manages to hold her breath and not inhale any of the poison. Chiyo tries to pull her put of the poisonous cloud but Sasori has her tied up so she can't escape. Sakura thinks of how she had promised Naruto she wouldn't get in the way and that this time she would protect them. Sasori shoots out more poisonous gas. Sakura uses an explosive tag to disperse the cloud despite taking damage. Chiyo pats Sakura on her back which causes her to cough and breathe. Sakura gets up and yells at Sasori saying she will capture him and make him tell her about Orochimaru no matter what. Sasori responds with kunai. Deidara thinks how the copy ninja will get in his way. He molds a few spider bombs and throws them in Kakashi's path to separate him from Naruto. Chiyo uses a pair of puppets to protect Sakura. They are puppets Sasori created of his mother and father. Flashback of young Sasori manipulating his mother and father puppets. Present: The puppets place their palms together and pull out wires to attack. They cut through the many arms of the Kazekage puppet. The mother puppet takes out a sword while the father has a whip with kunai blades. Sasori's puppet has a rotary saw in one arm and blades in the other. The puppets clash with no winner and all the weapons are ruined. Then the kazekage puppet opens its mouth and releases iron sand, the Third kazelage's technique. End: Special lecture with Kakashi narrating about student teacher relationships. Kakashi is lonely since Naruto is training with Jiraiya, Sakura with Tsunade, and Sasuke left. He offers the viewer to be his student and he'll treat them nice! Review: The mother, father puppets are creepy. Notes: Thoughts:
