After their duty as border guards, Temari and her team return to Sand Village where Kankarou is waiting.

Sasori’s puppet’s head can still move and shoots out needles. Chiyo manipulates Sakura to avoid them, confirming Sasori’s suspicion that she was the one controlling Saskura and his tail. Real Sasori’s body is revealed to be a young boy looking as he did twenty years ago to Chiyo's shock.

Kakashi can tell from the noise that Sasori, Sakura and Chiyo have begun fighting. Deidara flies off with Naruto running after him. Kakashi decides to go after them Team Gai still fights with their doubles.

Sand team takes a rest. Temaru scolds her team and they're willing to push on but Elder Ebizou cautions them to keep calm. He notices they’re at a site of battle from Konoha vs Akatsuki and warns them they are in enemy territory and should be wary of traps. They should rest to keep alert. He tells them the story of the Third Kazekage, the most powerful of all the Kazekage, who disappeared, possibly kidnapped. The village did everything they could to find him and became lax in protecting the village. This led to invasion. They must not repeat what happened. They never found out what happened to the Third.

Chiyo is speechless at the sight of Sasori. He takes out another scroll, saying “he” was the hardest to kill to add to his collection. He summons another puppet, the Third Kazekage! Chiyo's furious that Sasori is responsible for the deaths of three Kazekage. Sasori says he has nothing to do with the Fourth; he only has control over his own subordinates. Orochimaru was Sasori's original partner. Sakura becomes more determined and has a lot of questions for him. Sasori attacks with the Third Kazekage.

Chiyo pulls Sakura out of the way and uses the tail to block. The tail is destroyed by the blades from the puppet’s right arm. From the left, hundreds of arms come out. Sakura contorts her body and barely avoids the arms. Chiyo pulls her back but Sasori realeases poisonous gas.

End: Konoha's Citizens Databook: Tenten waits to interview Kakashi who says he was thinking about the true meaning of life. Tenten says his nickname is monkey see monkey do. Kakashi corrects her; it should be “copy ninja.” Then she erroneously says his sole original jutsu is the super powerful 1000 years of pain. Kakashi’s exasperated and corrects her again; it’s Raikiri! He accuses her of being mean to him. She laughs and slaps him hard on the back.

Review: Wow, Sasori’s a real cutie. Not much action but some background info.

Did Sasori leave first, or did he kill the third Kazekage first? Was he a suspect?
