Ep 2: Akatsuki, Action Begins

Door opens and Shikamaru and Temari come in. Shika's there to pick up documents, not fight Naruto! Naruto can't remember Temari. Tsunade points out the window for his opponent. It's Kakashi reading Icha Icha Violence, again. Naruto takes out a book from his hip pack for Kakashi called "Make-out Tactics," the first new book from Make-Out Paradise in three years. Naruto thinks it's boring but Kakashi is in awe and now says Naruto should rest up first. He'll be fighting against Naruto and Sakura at the third training ground. Kakashi disappears and Tsunade and Shika realize he's off to read that book.

Later, Naruto asks Shika if he and Temaru are on a date. Temari is here to organize the chuunin exams and Shika is acting as ambassador. Shika tells Naruto that he's the only one in their age group that's not a chuunin. Kankuro and Neji and Temari are jounin and Gaara. is the Kazekage!

Naruto, instead of being upset, points to the monuments and say he'll catch up as Hokage.

Jiraiya talks to Kakashi about Naruto and says he will crush him if he's not careful.

At the Sand meeting: in the past few years the village's power has stabilized, relations with other hidden villages has improved, and since adopting the Konoha training program for new recruits they have gotten good results, and the Chuunin exams are coming up. Yuura brings up the Akatsuki.

Break1: Jiriaya asks Kakashi in an interview what he thinks of his new book. Kakashi says: "To put it bluntly, this level of drama, fluttering of the heart, burning tragedy, the evil secrets, and the beautiful love of a man and a woman is truly wonderful!"

Jiraiya offers to sign his book but Kakashi is not paying attention. They announce the third keyword as "Pu"

Yuura reports that the Akatsuki is made up of about 10 shinobi who are all S-class criminals in the bingo book, including Uchiha Itachi from Konoha who killed off his clan, Hoshigame Kisame aka Hidden Mist Village 's Monster, and Orochimaru who killed the previous Kazekage was a member at one point.

Kakashi and Jirayain talk at the dumpling house. Jiraiya says they are after what is in Naruto and he has given info on the Akatsuki to the heads of other countries (Yuura).

Yuura has already ordered security to be fortified and for the guards to look out for the Akatsuki who wear black capes with red clouds.

After the meeting, Yuura suddenly gets a headache. A seal in his mind breaks.

Out in the desert, two Akastsuki members discuss going to Hidden Sand Village . Diedara, the upright one, brings up Orochimaru, the traitor who gave out info on Akatsuki. Sasori, the one on the ground, says even he had no idea what was going to happen after he used that technique on him. He then asks if one bag of clay is enough for a Jinchuuriki opponent.

Diedara says he's also got his specialty. A hand with mouth reaches into the bag and a tongue licks up come clay.

Sakura and Naruto wait for Kakashi by the fence. Kakashi appears on top of the fence and says on the way he saw an old woman who needed some help, which the two do not believe.

Flashback to first bells test.

Kakashi mentions Sasuke and Naruto and Sakura think back to the last time they saw him and become very depressed. Kakashi takes out two bells and tells them it's the same rules as back then, and to come at him like they're going to kill him. Kakashi puts away his book and exposes his sharingan to get serious.

Back at Sand Village , the two Akatsuki members approach. They're spotted, but Captain Yuura is a spy and kills his own men.! Now he remembers Sasori.

Jiraiya, Tsunade and Shizune look on as Naruto and Sakura take on Kakashi.

Break2: Tsunade tricks Shizune to bet on Naruto-Sakura while she bets on Kakashi, and whoever wins doesn't have to go to work tomorrow. Key word "U"

End: Special lecture with Iruka on the Chuunin Selection Exam.

Thoughts:
Sasori mentions using a technique on Orochimaru. Same sort of mind block that he used onYuura? That's maybe why the Akatsuki let him leave instead of killing him?
