Ep 19: The Trap is Sprung! Team Gai's Enemies

Each of Team Gai faces a doppelganger. Tenten’s emerges from water; Lee’s from grass; Gai’s from rock; Neji’s from grass.

Deidara recognizes Naruto as the jinchuuriki based on Itachi's words. Sasori and Chiyo stare at each other. Naruto yells at Gaara to wake up. Naruto’s about to rush forward but Kakashi stops him. They realize Gaara is dead.

Team Gai fights against their doubles who have the same abilities. The barrier protected the hideout on several levels not only by splitting up the team, the doubles prevent entry even after taking down the barrier.

Sasori says he'll take on Naruto. Kakashi analyzes Deidara as the one who took on Gaara while Sasori is the puppet master. Deidara wants to take on Naruto for art's sake. Sasori says art is something that endures the test of time beautifully and gracefully. True art is eternal beauty. Deidara argues that art is something that blossoms for an instant before withering away. The two argue away ignoring Team Kakashi. Naruto gets pissed and takes out a scroll to summon a large shuriken. He throws it at them but Sasori blocks with his tail without even looking.

Deidara makes a bird with his hand-mouth and uses a seal to enlarge it. It picks up Gaara in its mouth. Deidara then makes fun of Sasori’s “silly puppet shows.” Sasori attacks him, but he jumps onto his bird and flies away. Naruto and Kakashi follow Deidara. Kakashi calls Gai for backup but Gai says they're caught in the enemy's trap. The doubles have the same strength and techniques. It’s like fighting their mirror image. Kakashi reveals his sharingan.

Sasori says he thought Chiyo retired a long time ago. Chiyo says she wanted to see her grandson’s face. Sakura’s scared since she can tell their difference in battle experience. Chiyo steps forward to fight Sasori with a string of flying kunai. Sasori deflects the kunai but they rip his cloak. Sasori rips the back off completely to reveal a large mask on his back with the tail coming from its mouth.

End: Konoha Clan Records Part Two on the Uchiha Clan, narrated by Neji with an excited Lee in the background. In order to defeat Itachi and Orochimaru, Lee says they must train more and picks up Neji for the Dash of Youth!

Review: Sasori and Deidara aesthetic argument is amusing.

Why cant team Gai lead their doppelgangers toward the hideout and switch off opponents? Then we can see Lee vs Neji or Neji vs Tenten, etc.
