The Sakon comments that Jiroubou is late but Kidoumaru says he’s here and Jiroubou appears behind them. Tayuya calls him names and tells him to carry the barrel and Jiroubou agrees. They know immediately that he’s a fake. Kidoumaru passes the barrel to Tayuya and tells them to go ahead first. Kidoumaru fends off an attack by the fake Jiroubou and says the real Jiroubou would warn Tayuya about her foul mouth. Jiroubou dispells and it’s Shikamaru! Kidoumaru uses Ninpou kumo shibari (ninja art spider web bind) and spits out a web, sticking Shikamaru to a tree. Then a bunch of Narutos attack from behind Kidoumaru. Kidoumaru starts spitting more web into his hands to form a ball for Ninpou kumo soukai (ninja art spider web opening) and a large web net catches all the Narutos. Kidoumaru is now in the air and Naruto thinks he shouldn’t be able to make any moves so Kiba and Akamaru will have their chance. The two use Gatsuuga and twin torpedoes head toward Kidoumaru but he shoots out webs to grab the trees in order to swing out of the way. Kiba and Akamaru land on tree branches but are now stuck by the web strands. Neji attacks from behind Kidoumaru with his byakugan activated, but Kidoumaru avoids him, swings out of the way, forms another large web to ensnare Neji. Akamaru goes back to normal. Kidoumaru wraps Neji into a cocoon. Naruto tries to cut the web with his kunai but can’t.

Kidoumaru says his web can’t be severed even with 2 elephants pulling on it. Neji notices the web is starting to absorb him and it’s probably made with something mixed with the special strength in his (Kidoumaru) body and chakra. Even after releasing it, there’s still a lot of chakra flowing constantly. Neji calms down and concentrates his chakra in his hand. Meanwhile Kidoumaru pulls out a different substance from his mouth (yellow instead of white) for Ninpou kumo nenkin (ninja art, spider web adhesive hypha) and forms hooked spiked clubs. He decides to play a game with the Naruto clones, and destroys the six Narutos one by one with the clubs. But the final one is a clone too and the real Naruto attacks from behind! But Kidoumaru deflects his attack and attaches a web strand to Naruto’s arm, pulling him down. He is about to score a hit on Naruto when Neji sweeps down, cuts the strand and grabs Naruto to safety. Neji says that which is created from chakra can be destroyed by putting chakra into it. He says only his jyuuken can deal with it. Neji had apparently freed everyone else and tells them to leave.

Akamaru starts getting very scared and Kiba says he (Kidoumaru) is stronger than the other guy by a lot. Neji gives a speech about bringing back Sasuke and trying to protect the bond as a ninja from Konoha and then flashbacks to Iruka’s speech at the Third Hokage’s funeral. He says "Naruto you have better eyes than I do, right now Sasuke is in darkness." He tells them to go and he’ll catch up later. Kidoumaru throws out another web. Neji activates his byakugan and cuts through it. Kidoumaru spits out another web but Neji again cuts through it easily. Kidoumaru says he’ll play with him for 3 minutes before killing him. Neji studies his chakra circulatory system. Kidoumaru spits out lots of webs and Neji at first manages to avoid/cut through them but then he is caught and his hands are stuck to the tree. Kidoumaru comments that Neji is able to emit a sharp needle-like chakra from the openings in his hands and cut through the thinnest part of the web with absolute accuracy. He says as long as he can’t use his hands he can’t cut the web. Kidoumaru then spits out a long pole. Neji breaks through the web runs along the pole and before he hits Kidoumaru explains that he can emit chakra from anywhere on his body and game over. Neji prepares to use jyuuken hou, hakke, rokujuu yonshou (gentle fist style, divine sixty-four strike).

Review:

Ooh, good action episode, but all that spitting is kind of gross.

Neji was not that near Iruka during the funeral. He was next to Shino. Kakashi was next to Naruto at first, then disappeared, then Shino was near Naruto.

Thoughts:

Guess spitting the web is better than the other end like real spiders.
