Neji scores a direct hit, Hinata spits up blood. Neji says "is this the best the Head family can do?" Hinata tries again but is easily blocked. Neji pokes her arm with his fingers. Hokage thinks no wonder people call him the genius of the Hyuuga clan. Neji pulls up Hinata's sleeves to reveal red spots. His eyes can see the tenketsu. Neji deals Hinata a blow which pushes her back. He says "Hinata-sama (so polite even when he's trying tokill her!) this is the difference in our unchangeable powers...this is your last warning, give up!" Hinata is still spitting up blood but tries to get up and refuses to take back her words. She turns on her Byakugan but her heart starts to give out and she coughs up more blood. Kurenai thinks she can't fight anymore.

Kakashi notes that Neji has completely stopped Hinata's flow of chakra and she can not use Jyuuken moves which force chakra into the enemy. It's clear who's going to win, but he didn't know such a guy existed, Sasuke won't be a match for him.

Hinata pulls herself together thinks of Naruto as her inspiration and fights Neji again. Neji lands a blow to her jaw. Kurenai thinks of how Hinata tried to change and how hard she trained, but she made a lot of mistakes during missions, wasn't good in real life situations, and got depressed easily, but is different today and has never seen her with those eyes.

Hinata runs toward Neji who gives a final blow to her chest. Hinata is down. Neji calls her stubborn and says her attacks had no effect on him to begin with. Kurenai thinks she's done enough though she lost the match, she's different than before. Gai notes that it was a finishing move by Neji, he aimed for her heart. Naruto is squeezing the bottle of ointment so hard, it starts to crack. Hayate is about the stop the match but Naruto objects. Sakura starts to berate him, but everyone stops and stares as Hinata tries to get up again, clutching her heart. Neji asks why'd she get up, if she pushes herself, she'll die. Hinata thinks she can't show such an unsightly scene in front of the person she admires, who has finally looked at her. Neji says he can tell with that she has carried the destiny known as the Hyuuga family, and cursed her powerlessness and blamed herself, but people cannot change, that is their destiny, and he tells her to give up. But Hinata says that he is suffering more than she is, he is confused and suffering inside about the fate of the head and branch families. This really pushes his button and he runs at her with the intent to kill.

Hayate runs after him to stop him. Gai has Neji around the neck, Kakashi grabs his arm, Hayate stands in front of Hinata, and Kurenai grabs hold of his other arm. Gai says that Neji had promised that he would not argue about the head family. Neji asks why the other jounins came out, does the head family receive special treatment. Hinata collapses, Kurenai, Naruto, Sakura, and Lee run to her side. Hinata starts to say Naruto's name and to ask if she was able to change a little, but she passes out. Neji warns Naruto about his unsightly cheering for a stranger and a loser is a loser, they cannot change. Naruto says do you want to try and runs toward Neji, but Lee stops him. He says he knows how he feels, but he should fight in a proper match. and says a loser will defeat a genius with hard work. Lee and Gai give each other the thumbs up. Hinata coughs up more blood. Kurenai unzips Hinata's jacket and checks her heart,she's going through ventricular fibrillation. She glares at Neji, finally realizing he tried to kill her. Neji smiles at her and says if she has time to glare at him, then she should use the time to look at Hinata. Kurenai finally calls the medics. They take her to the emergency room. Naruto thinks of her determination then wipes her blood on the floor with his hand and promises that he will win.

Review:

Another really good episode in terms of showing Hinata's and Neji's character. Poor Hinata, Neji's so mean!

Notes:

Kakashi explains to Naruto in the chakra circulatory system there are 361 points known as chakra holes (tenketsu) with width as small as a needle. If hit them accurately, can stop or increase the enemy's flow of chakra, able to control it. The sharingan is unable to see tenketsu. Although sharingan has ability of insight, can't see it that precisely during battle.

Kakashi thinks Neji would beat Sasuke.

My fansub translation uses "dropout" but loser makes more sense.
