Ch 181: The Fight Begins (ep 109)

Note: Crescent moon, means several weeks have past since the Sound-4 visited. Sasuke looks at his genin team photo. Possibly tears by the turned down photo. He leaves and runs into Sakura (not clear if she does this every night or why she picked this night, anime makes more sense on same night). Basically same exchange as anime but Sakura says "No matter what, you just always hate me don't you."

Ends with Sasuke meeting up with the Sound-4.

Ch 182: The Gathering!! (ep 110)

No scene waiting for Choji or fight over the last chip. He comes out no problem.

Kiba overhears them mention Shino while walking Akamaru and joins them.

No scene with Neji and Lee, just the team ready to go by the gate and Neji telling Lee "There are other things you need to worry about."

Ends with the team by the gate ready to leave.

Ch 183: Promise of a Lifetime (ep 110-111)

No significant differences

Ends with Sakon telling Sasuke he needs to die once.

Ch 184: Sound vs. Leaf (ep 111)

Seishingan = hallucinogen or psychostimulant drug

Shikokumujin = four seals of the dark mist

Houin fuukou = dark seal

No significant differences.

Ends with the Sound-4 activating their cursed seals and Kiba smelling blood.

Ch 185: In Pursuit of the Sounds!! (ep 111)

Oinin = pursuer shinobi, terminator

No scene with Tsunade giving Lee his medicine.

Ends with Neji sees the enemy resting and Shikamaru thinks of his strategy.

Ch 186: Misssion.Failed!? (ep 111-112)

Doton kekka doroudoumu = earth barrier, clay prison

Tsuuga = piercing fang

Ends with Neji observing the walls with his byakugan.

Ch 187: Praying for Mercy.!! (ep 112)

Gatsuuga = piercing fang duplex

Kiba does not do another round of tsuuga before Neji detects the weak spot

Baika no jutsu = multisize technique

Ends with Choji breaking out.

Ch 188: Hidden Leaf's Shinobi!! (ep 113)

Naruto and Kiba do not attack Jiroubou immediately and Choji does not get the team out of the way. Shikamaru does not get a chance to hold a team meeting. Instead Jiroubou smashes the ground and he disappears then reappears holding up a giant mud ball. Choji transforms to a cannonball and smashes the mudball but when he tries to roll into Jiroubou, he gets pushed back. Then Shikamaru tells the team to break up into two teams. There's no scene with Jiroubou attacking Shikamaru. Choji gives his bag of soldier pills to Shikamaru and the rest of the team take one there not on the road.

The first special pill is translated as blue rather than green. (blue hourengan)

Ends with Shikamaru thinking about Choji's pills' side effects.

Ch 189: The Power to Believe!! (ep 113-114)

Doton doro ku gaeshi = earth shield

Houshou = crushing fist

No butterflies.

When Choji uses partial multi-size on his arm only once (did not use it on his leg), and hits Jiroubou. Jiroubou knocks him back and the Choji uses mega-multi-size no jutsu.

Ends with Jiroubou in stage 2 of the cursed seal lifting up Choji.
