Ep 18: Break in! Button Hook Entry

Neji can’t get a good image with his byakugan. He can only tell inside is wide and spacious. He sees some people and Gaara lying on the floor, and the statue eyes closing. Gai tries to break in by force but the barrier holds. Zetsu reports both teams are there. Itachi was supposed to get the Kyuubi but now Sasori gets the chance from the leader.

Kakashi and Chiyo agree it's a five seal barrier made by placing five forbidden seals in different places. You have to remove them all at the same time to remove the barrier. Neji searches for the other seals and finds one on top of a boulder about 500 meters northeast; second one on a tree trunk in a gorge 350 meters south, southeast; third on a cliffside 600 meters northwest; last in a forest 800 meters southwest.

The Akatsuki discuss the instruders. Kisame says they may not get in. Itachi says not to underestimate them. Kisame acknowledges their brute strenth. Leader tells Deidara and Sasori to take care of them, but take the jinchuuriki alive. The rest are dismissed. Sasori asks what type of person is the ninetails jinchuuriki. Itachi says nothing at first. The Leader orders him to tell. Itachi says “He's the one who screams and charges first.” Itachi does not seem happy.

Gai takes out wireless radios. Gai's team is quickest so they’ll be taking off the seals. They put on the headsets and Lee tests his mike which is turned all the way up. Gai extends his hand for a team cheer, but Neji refuses. Gai gives him a hard look and “hmms” until he joins in the cheer: “fight with the power of youth, fight fight fight and one more fight!” Naruto is impressed and wants to do it too, but his team thinks it's stupid. Pakkun is dispelled.

Deidara complains about waiting. Sasori is uncharacteristically quiet, thinking about Chiyo.

Neji, Tenten, and Gai find their seals, but Lee needs Neji to search for him. It’s high, high up in a tree. Kakashi and Team Gai remove the seals simultaneously. Sakura punches the boulder, breaking it into pieces.

Something emerges at each of the positions where Team Gai is. Team Kakashi enters the hideout. Deidara’s sitting on Gaara and wonders which is the jinchuuriki. Naruto screams out he's going to kill them.

End: A Conversation with the Akatsuki - Deidara asks Kisame about Itachi. Kisame tells him about his mangekyou sharingan. Then there’s a quiz on which sharingan is Itachi's. The other two are Kakashi’s and Sasuke’s. Deidara notes Itachi is handsome and probably more popular with the ladies. Kisame bows his head and regrets being strangely colored.

Neji has problems seeing inside the cave. Could be because of the barrier?
